To gauge how the Liverpool Plains community feels about the state government’s Fit for the Future plan, council will launch an online survey next week.
While a merger with Gunnedah Shire Council has been encouraged, Mayor Andrew Hope is confident it can stand alone.
Residents are urged to fill out the survey so council can receive an accurate picture of whether the community wants it to remain independent.
A number of events will take place this month where the plan can be discussed.
