Pedestrians will soon feel a lot safer in Tenterfield with a major upgrade in the town’s centre getting underway next month.
Crossing the New England Highway on foot has always been a difficult task, but now between Manners and High street that will become easier.
Council and the Roads and Maritime Service will create safe crossing paths and reduce the speed limit to 40-kilometres an hour.
The work is due to be complete by April.
