The body of a man has been found in the water off a wharf in Newcastle.
The discovery was made this morning behind a hotel on Wharf Road.
Police are working to identify the middle-aged man who has a beard, thinning hair, and several tattoos on his right hand and right shoulder.
There is nothing at this stage to suggest his death is suspicious.
