I think you should be able to find some nice waves over the weekend. The morning winds will be offshore but as they ease across the weekend they will become variable so light onshore in the afternoons will be possible. The swell is going to abate, dropping right off on Sunday.

It’s been a good run of swell that will continue across the weekend.¬†Fairly light to moderate winds, predominantly out of the south. Strong again for South-East Queensland and North-East New South Wales. The southerly winds will strengthen further on Sunday as the swell builds thanks to a developing offshore low. So look to the southern protected point breaks after the morning low tide is the call.

Hard to find quality waves this weekend. Your best shot will be on the Gold Coast back beaches to the Tweed and northern NSW, looking for protection from the SE winds. Further south, the winds will be coming straight in so most Hunter, Central Coast beaches are going to be a mess.

It’s been a pretty good week of surf and despite the weather I think there are going to be some nice waves on offer for most of the coast. There’s plenty of swell and the winds don’t look too bad. Certainly worth checking your local break in the morning as the angle of the swell is moving more from the East.

It was a great week of swell but over the weekend the oceans will settle down and the winds will be light and variable so try and keep away from the high tide. Next week another east coast low will form and another big week of waves will unfold for the Monday to Friday surf hounds.

Small and clean tomorrow morning, work the falling tide. The arvo high tide will gobble up a lot of the swell and the afternoon sea breezes will mess up the situation a bit. So hit the northern exposed corners after lunch along the NSW coast. Remaining small on Sunday.
