2 NRL GAMES BOUND FOR CENTRAL COAST

A record number of NRL games will be held at Central Coast Stadium next year. In round seven, the Rabbitohs will face the Canberra Raiders for a Saturday afternoon clash. While the Roosters will host the Titans on Saturday May 26 in a mid-season battle. Eight games will be played in regional New South Wales and Queensland, with the Central Coast holding a quarter of the games. (NO AUDIO)

KNIGHTS SIGN JACOB LILLYMAN

Newcastle Knights have signed former Warriors prop Jacob Lillyman on a one year deal. Lillyman made his NRL debut playing for the North Queensland Cowboys, against the Knights, in 2003¬† before linking with New Zealand¬† in 2009, making 189 NRL appearances. In addition, Lillyman has played 14 Origin matches for Queensland. The 33 year old will commence with the Club when pre-season resumes in November.

LAMB AND YATES RULED OUT FOR NEWCASTLE’S REMAINING GAMES

There’s more bad news for the Knights following the loss to the Storm, with two players ruled out for Newcastle’s remaining games. Scans have confirmed Brock Lamb has a grade two medial ligament tear in his left knee, and will need at least four weeks to recover. It’s a similar story for Luke Yates, who suffered an ankle injury on Saturday. On a positive note, Nathan Ross will test his injured back at training this week, in the hope of returning before the end of the season.
