The Department of Defence and the Federal Government have so far chosen NOT to take legal action against Port Stephens Council over a controversial move to build homes in an area subject to jet noise.
The government threatened three months ago to take council to court if it approved the plan at Richardson Road in Raymond Terrace.
The majority of councillors ignored a previous agreement, claiming any future residents would be aware of jet noise.
