A 49-year-old man will face Coffs Harbour Local Court next month, on animal cruelty charges.
Police allege the Coffs Harbour man wrapped duct tape around the head and mouth of a Mini Fox Terrier, causing it distress.
The dog is expected to make a full recovery.
