Disappointment for Hunter basketballer Katie Ebzery, with her Sydney Uni Flames today eliminated from the WNBL playoffs by Bendigo.
Ebzery has been one of Sydney’s best this season, but today wasn’t her best outing, shooting just 25 per cent from the field, on her way to nine points.
She’s still done enough to put herself in the mix for higher honours.
“She’s been in tremendous form it’s hard to ignore her credentials for a spot in the Aussie team for the Olympic qualifiers in August.”
Up by three at the main break, Bendigo held on to eventually win by eight.
The Spirit will now face fellow Hunter product Suzy Batkovic and the Townsville Fire in the grand final next Sunday.
