  1. We used to drive into Newcastle at least once a fortnight to paint out the new graffiti on our hunter street building. Eventually we just gave up, as we watched the incredible ascendancy of the anti-progress pro-rail faction. We have, over the last 5 years spent in excess of $200,000 on trying to make our building enhance the hunter st street-scape. Get out of the way Joan Dawson and we will get back on the Newcastle team.

  2. Looks like she actually arrived at 8:49.42 second exactly and was the only person getting of the train at Newcastle….. sure does show a positive reason why the rail should stay !?

  3. Fantastic work Kim Cross & Joan Dawson! We do need our rail. Fantastic way to bring in people to our CBD. Its part of our history – why should we spend more money on replacing something that already works with a light rail?. The money could be better spent elsewhere, for example – a Graffiti removal campaign as per Mike & Judy’s comments – cost would be small and resolve an issue. Other funds could be put towards our local infrastructure to benefit Newcastle local needs. Don’t destroy our city.
