CONCERNS HAMILTON TRAIN STATION WON’T COPE WITH MINI-INTERCHANGE

Hamilton Train Station will be used as an interim transport interchange, as the Baird Government works to cut Newcastle’s heavy rail line over Christmas.
But there are concerns the already-congested area simply won’t cope.

  1. A bus will be here to meet every train. Excuse me but i think you may require more than 1 bus meeting each train.

I can’t see this working I would like to know why they have to rip up a perfectly good rail line just to put in tram rail can’t they leave it and use the rail line for the trams and with the extra money they could actually make a big difference to Newcastle by extending the rail to the beaches and out to the suburbs. Just what is the hurry to pull up the line have they got investers ready to sell the land to
