$305 MILLION WATER PACKAGE TO BENEFIT IRRIGATORS
The federal and state government has announced a $305 million package to help improve irrigation efficiency in New South Wales.
The package aims to support a viable irrigation industry across the Murray-Darling Basin and ensure effective use of vital water resources.
Allocations include $125-million for round five of the On Farm Irrigation Efficiency Program and $28 million for the Irrigated Farm Modernisation Project.
The priority is to ensure the Basin remains Australia’s food bowl.
