Hunter golfer James Nitties has given himself every chance of returning to the PGA Tour, currently in a tie for 4th at the final event of the year on America’s second tier.
A birdie on 11 was backed up by an impressive chip-in for birdie on 16.
Nitties has carded rounds of 66 and 68, leaving him 33rd on the money list, needing to stay inside the top 50.
The Aussie has to hold his nerve for another 36 holes to earn his PGA card for 2015.
“I’m happy to be here, considering I made a good putt at Portland to get here was a confidence boost and just trying to get it done out here now.”
