Educators claim up to 20 part-time teachers could lose their job at the Hunter Street TAFE campus, following the recent announcement of big cuts by the state government.
Today teachers and students banded together to protest outside Newcastle MP Tim Owen’s office, calling for the Coalition to restore the funding.
Students say they’ll also be hit hard.
Mr Owen wasn’t in – he was at state parliament.
