A not-for-profit home modifications service in Port Macquarie has officially open the doors to its new Jambali Street store.
Hastings Modifications and Maintenance Service provides subsidies to elderly people and those with a disability, allowing them to stay in their own homes for longer.
“The feedback we get from the clients is like that they’re extremely happy with the program and without the program they wouldn’t be able to maintain their independence and wouldn’t be able to stay at home.”
The service is funded through the state and federal governments, as well as profits generated by projects.
