TRITTON AND PANELLA AIMING FOR NZ GROUP ONE GLORY

Hunter harness racing duo Shane Tritton and Lauren Panella will chase group one glory in New Zealand on Saturday, when their runner Salty Robyn lines up in the Harness Jewels.
Panella warmed up with an impressive effort at Newcastle today, riding four winners from five attempts.
She’ll head across the Tasman tomorrow to prepare for the two-year-old race.
“You’ve got to be invited to go into the Jewels so it’s not something many people do. It’s harder racing over there but it’s a thrill to be invited and to be in it.”
Following two disappointing efforts in New Zealand, Panella believes Salty Robyn has every chance of winning this weekend.
“The first time he was too tired, second time he was under done, Shane’s reported back he’s spot on, working super so fingers crossed for Saturday night.”
