CORDNER NAMED ROOSTERS VICE CAPTAIN

Former Old Bar local, Boyd Cordner, has been named vice-captain of the Sydney Roosters for the 2013 NRL season.

The 20-year-old made his first grade debut with the Roosters in 2011, but has been linked to the club since 2009.

The former St Clare’s High student says he’s humbled and privileged to be named vice captain, and is looking forward to the upcoming season.

It’s already been a busy start to the year for Cordner, who’s recently completed the ‘Emerging Blues’ training camp for State of Origin.

He was one of just 20 players selected for the three day camp in Sydney.
