TOUCH TOURNAMENT IN MEMORY OF ANTHONY AVERY JR

A memorial touch football tournament will be held this weekend at Forster for Anthony Avery Junior, who passed away from bowel cancer in 2008.

10 teams will compete in the the two-day event, including locals from the mid-north coast, as well as teams from as far as Gunnedah and Casino.

Donations from each team have raised more than $10,000 which will go in a trust fund for Anthony’s seven year-old daughter.

The competition gets underway tomorrow at the Forster-Tuncurry touch fields at 10am.
