Around 400 people today took part in the 15th annual cleanup of Stockton Beach, and they certainly uncovered more than expected.
Two unexploded bombs of World War Two vintage were found among the rubbish.
Police and specialists are working to render them safe.
Organisers say they pulled out 10 tonnes of waste from the site.
