$89,000 FOR FLOOD STUDY IN THE MANNING

The state government has announced it will put almost $100,000 towards a flood study for the Manning.

Greater Taree City Council will receive a more than $89,000 to study the Manning River catchment from downstream of Wingham to the coast at Harrington and Manning Point.

The aim of the study is to reduce the impact of flooding on communities like Taree, Tinonee, Cundletown and Croki and reduce public and private losses from floods.

Council will also contribute funding to the project.
