The $30,000 Harrington Lagoon upgrade has been completed just in time for Christmas.
The Farquhar Inlet Management Group has spent the past few months dredging the lagoon to return it to its former glory.
2,000 cubic metres of white sand has been transported from the other side of the Harrington break-wall to replenish the beach, while turf has also been laid.
It’s hoped the improvements will attract families back to the once popular swimming spot.
