TASTE OF SPRING IN WOLLONGBAR

The smell of organic goodness permeated the grounds of Wollongbar Tafe today, at its annual Taste of Spring festival.

Over 1000 foodies were treated to free entertainment, tasting plates and a variety of stalls, from the healthy to the decadent.

The day was put together by students studying Events Management and gave them a real taste of what it’s like to put on a major spread.

“They started right from scratch. They’ve called anyone they could think of, they’ve gone to markets, they’ve gone to lots of other places, they’ve sourced the exhibition.”

The theme for the day was “family fun” and all proceeds raised will go to local children’s charity, Our Kids.

While the student’s will be assessed on the event’s success, they scored top marks from their guests.
