The upstairs floor of a home at Mardi has been damaged…
After it was struck by lightning during yesterday afternoon’s storm.
Emergency services arrived at the home just after 3.30, to find the roof on fire.
It took fire crews from Hamlyn Terrace, Berkeley Vale and Wyong more than an hour to extinguish the blaze, which destroyed three bedrooms.
The rest of the property suffered water damage.
