MISSING MEN FOUND FOLLOWING BARRINGTON TOPS SEARCH

Two men missing in the Barrington Tops National Park north of Newcastle, have been found safe and well.

Around 8:30 on Sunday evening, a personal locater beacon (EPIRB) was activated, however due to adverse weather conditions a search was unable to be conducted.

The men, aged 48 and 46, were located by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter at around 10 this morning and are being winched from the scene.

It’s believed the two men had been canyoning and abseiling in the park.
