POLICE CONCERNED FOR ELDERLY MISSING MAN

mp-douglas-allan.jpgPolice are seeking public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from an aged care facility on the state’s Central Coast.

Douglas Allan, 84, walked out the front door of the complex in Kalawarra Road, Wyoming, some time between 10.30am and 11am yesterday (Saturday 12 September).

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were contacted just before 1.30pm after a search of the facility and nearby bushland by staff failed to locate Mr Allan.

A canvass of the surrounding neighbourhood was conducted by general duties police without success.

Police are concerned for Mr Allan’s wellbeing, as he suffers a medical condition that requires treatment, and are now seeking public help to locate him.

He’s been described as being of white/European appearance, 180cm tall with average build, grey/white hair and pale/pink skin. He was last seen wearing blue and grey striped hooded top, grey tracksuit pants and white joggers.

Anyone who sees Mr Allan or has any information on his current whereabouts is urged to contact Gosford Police Station via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
