The trial of a new coach service connecting Tamworth to Newcastle, Dubbo and Port Macquarie will begin in less than two weeks.
Each service will operate on Mondays and Fridays, with an additional service between Tamworth and Newcastle on Wednesdays, and between Tamworth and Port Macquarie on Sundays.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson expects the Newcastle service to be the most popular.
“That opens up Scone and Maitland train services and the CityLink networks to get us into Sydney.”
The trial is expected to run for at least 6 months.
