DAY 2 OF THE STAN AUSTIN CARNIVAL

A shady nook was hard to find as the second day of the Stan Austin Carnival batted on.

Taree’s Johnny Martin Oval hosted teams from as far as Sydney and Newcastle in today’s hit out.

The outcome proving contentious with West Pennant Hills and Hunter Valley…. up against each other after both claiming wins yesterday.

The tip to victory from the Hunter Valley captain…

Probably just build a partnership from here, keep the wickets in the shed to the last few overs and then just bowling and keep it nice and tight,” says Lachlan Ballard.

The four day carnival will wrap on Thursday.
