EXTRADITION FOR MAN ACCUSED OF GOLD COAST HOLD-UPS

A man has been extradited from New South Wales, following a series of armed robberies on the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Police say the 26-year-old man was armed with a metal bar when held up a general store at Tallai and a bottle shop in Palm Beach on separate days in September.

Investigations into the armed robbery of a takeaway store at Burleigh in the same month are ongoing.

The man was extradited yesterday and charged with two counts of armed robbery.
