Vandals have struck the Newcastle 500 supercars event.
It appears poison was used to write the words ‘super corrupt’ on the grass at Foreshore Park, which is located inside the race precinct.
Crash barriers along the track were also vandalised with anti-supercars graffiti.
A spokesperson for the event says “the overwhelming community support, reflected in massive ticket sales and the huge local interest, will do the talking in less than a week’s time.”
