Fire and Rescue New South Wales’ Inverell Station will be down a fire fighter as the organisation prepares to fulfil 24-hour staffing in Tamworth next month.
Acting Chief Superintendent Stephen Hirst has written a letter to Inverell Council advising that the station officer position will be transferred to the Tamworth Fire District.
However, the organisation says there will be no change to daily staffing ratios in Inverell.
