A man has died after being struck by his four wheel drive, as it rolled down the driveway of his Hunter Valley home last night.
The 40-year-old man went to get into his car around 9:30pm, which was parked in the garage of his East Branxton home.
The man’s wife went to check on him around 11pm and found him lying next to his vehicle deceased.
It’s believed the man decided to roll the car forward before starting the engine, in order not to wake members of his household.
Early investigations suggest the man may have got caught behind the vehicle as it rolled down the driveway and struck his head on a brick wall.
A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
