A surfer is recovering in hospital after he was was bitten by a shark at Port Stephens this morning.
The 31 year old swan to shore with minor puncture wounds to his foot.
“Surf lifesavers had undertaken first aid to the lower leg injury and there was also reports of an RN at the scene assisting surf lifesavers with the management”
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition and will require further medical treatment.
