FIREARMS AND DRUG CHARGES FOLLOW SOUTH GRAFTON SIEGE

A man has been charged with 19 firearms and drug supply offences overnight.

The 46 year old was arrested after an almost 8 hour long siege in the South Grafton industrial area yesterday.

The man came peacefully just after 8.30am and was taken to Grafton police station for questioning, before facing court.

After a search of the Induna Street address, police allegedly found a loaded rifle, ammunition, cash and prohibited drugs including MDMA and cannabis.

He was refused bail today and is due to face court via videolink on Monday.
