Learning to swim is now much easier for people with a disability, thanks to two new water wheelchairs.
The chairs will aid the Taree and Bellingen YMCA’s SwimAbility program.
“What the wheelchairs will do is they’ll allow people to gain access into the pool and be able to do their swimming lessons.”
The chairs are valued at almost $5,000 and were funded by the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.
