WEBB TAKES ANOTHER TILT AT DEPUTY TITLE

A former deputy mayor of Tamworth Regional Council is set to take another tilt at the title.

Russell Webb has confirmed he will put his hand up for the job again, after 12-months on the sidelines.

Councillor Helen Tickle took over from Mr Webb – she’s also expected to nominate again.

The deputy will be decided at tomorrow night’s meeting.

There’ll be no mayoral vote though – changes to the Local Government Act last year saw the mayoral term extended to two years.
