CHARLESTOWN CITY CEMENTS ITS PLACE IN NBN STATE LEAGUE TOP FOUR

NBN State League
Round 10

SOUTH CARDIFF 4 – WESTON 0
CHARLESTOWN CITY 4 – LAKE MACQUARIE 2

In the NBN State League South Cardiff belted Weston, while the Blues beat the Roosters.
Lake Macquarie went into the game as underdogs, but earned a penalty which put Alex Read on the spot, where he calmly delivered.
Jacob Stitt was keeping the Roosters crowing with some great saves.
Until Kane Goodchild’s teasing cross resulted in an own goal to Daniel Burt.
Stitt again proved tough to beat when Goodchild stepped up to the spot.
A few minutes later Mitchell Wallace showed him how it’s done as the Blues went in front.
Cameron Hughes then put the icing on the cake for the home side with an impressive header.
