MAN ARMED WITH AN AXE STEALS HOVERBOARD

A man has stolen a hoverboard from a group of teenagers after confronting them with an axe on the Central Coast.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:30pm yesterday, on Liamena Avenue in San Remo.

The three boys, all aged 15, ran from the man when he demanded their belongings, leaving behind an electric hover board.

The man picked up the board and fled.

Police would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait islander appearance, and of a slim build.

He was wearing a black balaclava and carrying an axe at the time.
