ROSIE BATTY TO SPEAK IN PORT MACQUARIE

It’s been confirmed domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty will be the special guest at next year’s Hastings Heroines Awards in Port Macquarie.

The former Australian of The Year will share her inspirational story at the annual breakfast fundraiser, held on International Women’s Day.

“It’s a very strong message that she has to send to the community, but I think importantly for this event, all the money that we raise – every bit of the money we raise – is directed to our local women’s refuge,” State Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams said.

The event gives recognition to our unsung heroes.

“Our theme for next year’s awards is unity, and the awards will celebrate women who provide strength and cohesion to support and connect our Hastings community,” Hastings Business Women’s Network President Kelly King said.
