The Belmont Wetlands State Park Trust has issued a reminder to the community, that quad bikes are banned on the beach between Redhead and Blacksmiths.
It comes after a 16-year-old boy was involved in a rollover late yesterday.
He was airlifted to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital, but has since been released.
Trust chair, Greg Wright, says the message doesn’t seem to be getting through.
“As well as risks to the people involved, they’ve done a lot of damage to the dunes and vegetation in the area,” he said.
