In Track and Field, brilliant news for Nicola McDermott, who’s been invited by the IAAF, to compete at the World Championships next month.
The 20 year-old recently set a new Personal Best of one-metre 89 at Mingara, and then bettered that by a centimetre at a meet in Brisbane.
She’ll compete in Queensland again this weekend, ahead of her departure for London.
Women’s High Jump qualifying commences in the early hours of the morning Australian time, on the 11th of August.
