CHRIS DAUNT’S KILLER TO BE SENTENCED

The man responsible for the death of Lake Macquarie builder Chris Daunt will be sentenced in Newcastle on the 8th of December.

34-year-old Christopher John Robertson last week pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Mr Daunt, by reason of excessive self-defence.

Court documents revealed Robertson struck Mr Daunt three times in the head with a hammer in March 2015, while being held at gunpoint by the 27-year-old.

He later dumped his body at Seahampton.

Robertson is facing up to 20 years behind bars.
