OLD NEWCASTLE STORE BUILDING TO GO FOR BUS INTERCHANGE

The old Newcastle Store building and its adjoining carpark will be demolished, to make way for a new bus terminal.

The State government acquired the site two years ago and is seeking interest from the private sector to build the new complex, adjoining the Wickham interchange.

Construction could begin as soon as next year.
