31-YEAR-OLD CHARGED AFTER LAKE MACQUARIE POLICE PURSUIT

A man will face court today following an altercation and police pursuit at Lake Macquarie.

Police say two men became involved in verbal argument at a home on Martha Street in Caves Beach, just before 1.30pm yesterday.

One of the men received a cut to his hand during the incident.

A 31-year-old man left the house in a vehicle, which failed to stop when police attempted to intercept it.

The pursuit was terminated shortly after on Turea Street in Pelican, when the man allegedly ran from the car.

He was located inside a house on Piriwal Street in Pelican shortly after, where he was arrested.

He was charged with a number of offences including police pursuit, drive motor vehicle while disqualified, and aggravated enter dwelling.
