Benjamin Batterham – the Newcastle man accused of murdering an alleged home intruder – could face a committal hearing.
Today Newcastle Local Court heard the brief of evidence in the case has been completed, and that both parties are likely to proceed to such a hearing.
33-year-old Batterham is accused of chasing down and murdering Ricky-Slater Dickson, after finding him in his Hamilton home in March last year.
The matter will be back in court next month.
