Celebrations are taking place across the nation for the 45th annual NAIDOC Week.
The Tamworth committee gathered today to go over final preparations for the week’s activities.
This year’s theme highlights the importance of language and its link to identity.
“Language is the carrier of our culture and having it as this years focus is going to implement it in having it in our younger generations lives.”
The highlight will be Friday’s march through the city to Bicentennial Park, where a family fun day and awards ceremony will take place.
