A $2.8-million surf club development south of Port Macquarie has earned its builder a prestigious state award.
Local company, Commercial Project Group, received an excellence in construction award from the Master Builders Association for the recently-opened Wauchope-Bonny Hills clubhouse.
The honour puts the building company in the running for a national award for the project, which took about eight months to complete.
The building was constructed on the site of the former clubhouse which had been home to the surf club for the past 50 years.
