SPRIGGS TO SEE SURGEON FOR TROUBLED KNEE CAP

Hunter jockey Blake Spriggs will see a surgeon on Tuesday, to determine whether he needs an operation on his fractured knee cap.

The 25-year-old showed off his battle scars on social media today, following Thursday’s race fall at Hawkesbury.

Spriggs required 10 stitches to his forehead, and says he was lucky not to lose an eye.

If he can avoid the surgeon’s knife, he expects to be back riding in six weeks.
