WINNING START TO THE SEASON FOR NEWCASTLE NORTH STARS

Good news for the Newcastle North Stars, who beat the Adelaide Adrenaline 6-4 last night, in the opening round of the Australian Ice Hockey League.
It didn’t take the hosts long to open their 2015 account, taking the lead inside 20 seconds.
Adelaide replied in the first period to make it one-all.
But the second period belonged to Newcastle.
Brian Bales set up goal number two… before the North Stars went on a scoring spree, starting with Luke Moffat.
“Moffat dinks, shoots, scores, that was dirty.”
Shane Southwood and Rob Starke quickly made it 5-1, before Newcastle survived a late fightback by the Adrenaline in the final period.
