COAL SEAM INQUIRY COMING TO TAREE

The New South Wales upper house inquiry into coal seam gas activities will move to Taree next month.

The city has been chosen as one of just six locations across the state to hold a public hearing.

The day-long session will give mid north coast residents a chance to have their say on the controversial issue, which has sparked protests and rallies in recent months.

The Taree hearing will be held on the 31st of October, at a venue yet to be announced.
