DOYLE AND HOLDER FILL THE PODIUM IN ROUND 1 OF SPEEDWAY GRAND PRIX SEASON

Australian riders have made a great start to the Speedway Grand Prix season, with the Hunter’s Jason Doyle and former world champion Chris Holder finishing second and third in round one.

The last time Doyle competed in the series was in Melbourne late last year, where he suffered serious chest and head injuries.

Last night, he qualified third for the decider and then outclassed his countryman on the final lap… but the winner was way out in front.

The second round takes place in Poland on May 14.
