The Greens announced their federal candidate for the seat of Newcastle.
Dr John Mackenzie, a social scientist from Tighes Hill, says his campaign will focus on rebuilding Newcastle’s economy, following the mining downturn.
The top of his agenda, increasing funding to research institutions working on clean energy solutions, including the CSIRO and University of Newcastle.
